Fall 08

It has been a fun filled fall for the Shelton Four. Through vacations, holidays, birthdays and quality time spent with friends and family, we managed to find some time at home for the kids to play, and in Nick's case, find everything that he is not supposed to have while attempting to put it into his mouth. He is a gold medal crawler, a happy boy that knows what "No" means and even shakes his head to say it, waves hi, and can pat a cake with the best of them. Gabby has grown into quite a big sister, doing her best to keep Nick out of trouble, helping Mom and Dad around the house occasionally, pretends to be Shaggy of the famed Scooby Doo and the Gang all while calling me "Fred" and Kim "Velma". It is very hard to believe that our little miracle baby is now 4 and very "grown" at times. A very wise man named Roy Parker once said "Time and Tide wait for noone.", so I will enjoy every moment while I can because I realize how quickly time passes. Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas...all my love, js.

Finally, new pics

Finally I made the time to get a new slide show for our blog up. Alot has been going on in the past few months and the kids are growing and experiencing new things almost every day. Nick has mastered the art of crawling and even more so crawling toward things he should not have. He can successfully find any piece of trash on the floor or electrical outlet to crawl to. Gabby on the otherhand has surprised us by having her first trip to the dentist without any major dilemmas and gone old school on her cartoon tastes and has fallen for Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry. I am hopeful to have beach trip pictures up in the near future. Our love to all, js

July Fun

Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the summer. We have been quite busy keeping up with the smaller 2 of the Shelton Four. Nick has had his first babyfood, grown alot, began to laugh out loud, remained a stellar child and also pledged his lifelong fandom to the Duke Blue Devils, sorry Katie. Gabby is becoming more of a little girl and less of a baby girl each day. She has had playdates with Tanner, enjoyed shopping, made a new friend in Riley while making Justin behave and successfully completed Vacation Bible School despite a trip to the ER with a "stick in eye" injury. Kim and I have had a great time with family cookouts, shopping outings, Independence Day dinner and fireworks with dear friends, dinner with the original Callands Crew (& wives) and seeing our family evolve a little more each day. js

The Blue Jeep finally appears

Just thought we would share some recent pics of the kids and the much anticipated reappearance of the blue jeep. For those that do not know, Gabby only wanted one thing for Christmas and it was the blue jeep, but once it arrived, she was scared of it and would barely sit in it for weeks. Finally 6 months later, thanks to Greg teaching her how to drive his real jeep, Gabby conquered her fear and got behind the wheel.

Also included are some Nick and Gabby enjoying laying in our bed in their pajamas. Nick is growing and showing more skills daily and soon enough he will be on here doing some action shots instead of his more common sleeping pics. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the great summer weather. js

Friends and Family make life full

May was a very full month in our lives. While Kim has enjoyed her time away from work while on maternity leave, the Shelton's stayed busy. It is something about spring that makes everyone happier, mix in great friends and family and life couldn't be much better. So please enjoy our pictures of a party for our returning hero, old friends that we don't see often enough, family cookouts and Nick and Gabby having a special moment in their lives.

My First Blog....

Welcome all to The Shelton Four Blog. We will attempt to keep this updated through the upcoming months as our family moves from 3 members to 4 with the addition of Nicholas on March 18, barring any earlier arrivals by the next Shelton male to be added to our family. Wish us luck with getting Nicholas (or Baby Nick as coined by Gabrielle) here safe and healthy and on getting a few hours of sleep during his first days (or weeks and months) with us. PS...Kim hates this picture but it is the only one of us as the Shelton Three that is remotely up do date.
